QENTE SCHOOL

Qente is a Spanish Language School, which has had its foundations years ago, but now by reinventing ourselves we have managed to achieve an optimum educational proposal, with more experience and above all with more vision in the teaching of Spanish at its different levels, carefully choosing each of our courses and programs with innovative teaching proposals and meeting the quality standards for the satisfaction of each of our students.

Our Spanish School, has highly trained teachers with vast experience in teaching the Spanish language, thus ensuring a high level of learning, being always at the forefront of new developments in the educational field, in addition, the spacious and comfortable facilities will make the experience of our students is complete and satisfactory.

Qente is located in the historical center of Cusco, a magical city located in the south of Peru, our sacred and mystical city, navel of the world, is recognized worldwide, for being the political and territorial center of the Inca Empire, considered the capital of the Empire of the Incas with a great historical and architectural legacy, having the visit of millions of tourists every year to enjoy its splendor. Cusco is surrounded by beautiful green valleys with geographical variety from natural mountain ranges and reliefs with imposing tourist attractions, culture, tradition and faith still latent, without doubt one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

OUR

MISSION

Qente is a private educational center, where you can study Spanish and Quechua in Cusco-Peru. Qente also organizes study trips to Cusco for foreign high schools, universities and institutes, which combine the teaching of Spanish with artistic, cultural and leisure activities. Through specific courses, it prepares for the certification of linguistic competence of exams related to the levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, such as the DELE exam, as well as gives specialized courses such as Business Spanish and Medical Spanish.

The courses and activities are aimed at adult students, teenagers and children from 5 years old onwards, who are interested in learning a foreign language and deepening their knowledge of its culture, traditions, habits and social customs. In this way, as an environment of intercultural encounter, they participate in the creation of a multilingual social environment, open to new educational perspectives, helping to promote mutual and respectful learning, and the development of each of their skills.

Levels of Linguistic competence of the Common European Framework

A1 – Breakthrough or beginner :

  • Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type.
  • Can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people they know and things they have.
  • Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

A2 – Waystage or elementary :

  • Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
  • Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
  • Can describe in simple terms aspects of their background, immediate environment and matters in areas of immediate need.

LEVEL GROUP B (INDEPENDENT USER)

B1 – Threshold or intermediate :

  • Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
  • Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
  • Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
  • Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

B2 – Vantage or upper intermediate :

  • Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
  • Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
  • Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

LEVEL GROUP C (PROFICENT USER)

C1 – Effective operational proficiency or advanced :

  • Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer clauses, and recognize implicit meaning.
  • Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.
  • Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  • Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

C2 – Mastery or proficiency :

  • Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.
  • Can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.
  • Can express themselves spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.

Spanish teacher for foreigners at all levels with a university major in communication and languages, as well as in law and political science, bilingual (Spanish – English) certified by foreign institutions under the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the Cervantes Institute, also with a master’s degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and a specialization in linguistics applied to Spanish as a foreign language by the European University of the Atlantic – Spain, having in her professional experience more than 13 years in the educational field.

Spanish teacher for foreigners of all levels, as well as Spanish teacher trainer, bilingual (Spanish-English) with more than 10 years of experience in the field and certified by different Peruvian and foreign institutions under the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the Cervantes Institute especially for improvement courses such as the DELE course, she also has studies in international business and law, as well as in political science.

Spanish teacher for foreigners at all levels with a university specialty in economics and finance, with a diploma in human resources with specialization in labor law and human resources area itself, and a master’s degree in Human Resources and knowledge management from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana in Mexico and the Universidad Europea de Atlántico in Spain, trilingual (Spanish, English, German) with over 7 years of experience in the educational field.

Chef and professional hotel manager, with more than ten years of work experience in the culinary environment and hotel establishments, academic coordinator and professor of the specialty at the Ambrosssia Haute Cuisine Institute, one of the most prestigious institutes in our city.

Juan Fabricio Cortez Huamán

(Professional Dance Artist)

He studied at the Escuela Nacional Superior de Folklore José María Arguedas, one of the best dance schools in our country, with a career of over 12 years as a teacher of dance in different genres of national music, with participation in the festival of INTI RAYMI (Great Festival of the Sun held in Cusco every June 24) as part of the body of dancers.
