Inca Trail Short 2D/1N

DESCRIPTION:

FIRST DAY: Transfer from the hotel to the train station at approximately 06:00 A.M.  towards Km 104, after passing the checkpoint we will explore the archaeological complex of Chachabamba, then we will begin a trek of approximately 5 hours, making a stop for taste our lunch. Arriving in Wiñayhuayna, we will explore the wonderful citadel following the explanations of our guide later start our journey of approximately 40 minutes to the Sun gate.

 On this day, we will also observe a different variety of flora and fauna of the High Forest region, such as the great variety of orchids and begonias. Finally, we will take the bus from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night in a hotel.

 SECOND DAY: We start early, we have breakfast at 5:00 AM, then we go to the station to get the first bus that will take us to Machupicchu. Once inside the archaeological park, our guide will show us this wonder of the world, once the Guided tour is done, we will have free time to take photos or explore on our own.

At the indicated time, we will descend walking towards Aguas Calientes, where after having lunch and resting for a few hours, we will take the train back to Cusco city.

Inca Trail 4D/3N

DESCRIPTION:

FIRST DAY: Transfer by bus from the Hotel to Piscacucho or Km. 82, where the checkpoint is located, after showing our entrance fees and original passports, we will prepare to start our trek, we will meet the team that will accompany us during our trip (porters and cook). We will start our walk through a normal flat terrain. We will stop for lunch in the sector called Tayaroc. This day we will walk for approximately 5 to 6 hours, finally we will arrive at Wayllabamba, where we will establish our first camp.

 SECOND DAY: We will start having our breakfast at 07:30 AM, This day will be one of the most challenging in our journey, since we will have to ascend through the Andes mountain range approximately 1200 meters, but taking the time necessary to recover the air and contemplate the beautiful chain of peaks covered with snow. We will overcome the Warmihuañusca pass (4,200 meters above sea level) and we will arrive at Lulluchapampa, where our cooks will be waiting for us with a tasty lunch, then we will walk for 2 or 3 more hours until we reach the second camp of Pacaymayo.

 THIRD DAY: We will leave early after having our breakfast, we will visit the Archaeological group of Runkurakay (second pass at 3,950 meters high) we visit the Ruins of Phuyupatamarca; From this point the path is mostly downhill, after walking about 6 hours we arrive at the last Wiñaywayna camp (2,700 meters high).

 FOURTH DAY: Leaving very early, we will arrive after walking two and a half hours to the Intipunco or Sun gate, from where we will observe the sunrise and the Ruins of Machupicchu. The rest of the day we will dedicate to visiting the fabulous archaeological park of Machupicchu following the explanations of our guide, at approximately 1:00 p.m. we will descend by bus to the Aguas Calientes town, where you can find a variety of restaurants to have lunch

Finaly, we will take the train that leaves from the Aguas Calientes station to the Cusco city.

– The reservation must be made 4 or 5 months in advance, since spaces tend to run out quickly.

Inka Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu in 4 Days

DESCRIPTION:

Day 1: Cusco – Santa María:

Pick up from the hotel is at 05:30 A.M. We will travel in a private transport from your hotel to Alfamayuc. Our destination for the day will be the small town of Santa María at 1,430 meters above sea level. We will have some photo opportunities along the way as well. We will arrive at Alfamayuc and continue for a few hours by bicycle to Santa Maria. The 3-4 hour downhill ride is exciting and relaxing at the same time. When we arrive, we will have some free time to rest or explore before dinner. We will spend the night in a local hostel.

Day 2: Santa Maria – Santa Teresa:

After having a healthy breakfast, we will walk through the tropical forest for a short period, we will be able to observe coffee and coca plantations and pass through farms that grow tropical fruits. We will know a portion of an original Inca Trail. There are excellent views along this section as we descend some impressive Inca stairs while admiring the Vilcanota river canyon. We will also have the opportunity to visit the local Coca Plantation. Finally, when we get to Santa Teresa, we can enjoy the hot springs, which is optional (not included in the price). We will relax there until it is time for dinner. We will spend the night in a nice local hostel in Santa Teresa.

Day 3: Santa Teresa – Hydroelectric – Machupicchu:

After breakfast, we will go to Lucmabamba, where we will start climbing to reach the archaeological ruins of Patallacta and follow a large extension of the Inca trail. From this point you can see the Inca city of Machu Picchu. Then we descend for 1 hour, until a beautiful waterfall, arriving at Hidroelectrica. After having lunch, we will continue to the Aguas Calientes town. We will spend the night in a comfortable hotel in Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night in a hostel / hotel.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Cusco:

We will have early breakfast to take the bus that will take us to the archaeological park of Machupicchu, we will have a guided tour of this wonder for 2:30 hours, then the guide will give us free time to take photos and explore on our own. At the agreed time we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch and then take our train back to Cusco.

Salkantay Trek to Machupicchu 5D/4N

DESCRIPTION:

DAY 1: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA – HUMANTAY

The tour begins with the pick up from your hotel between 5:30 – 06:00 AM.

We will leave in a private car to Mollepata, a beautiful town established in the Andes mountain chain, where we will have our breakfast. Then we will go to Soraypampa, a trek of 3 to 4 hours, this will be our first camping point, after lunch we will visit the beautiful Humantay lake, formed by the melting of the snow-capped mountains.

DAY 2: SORAYPAMPA – HUAYRACMACHAY – CHAULLAY

After breakfast, we will cross the Salcantay pass, you will have the opportunity to make many stops along the way to observe the fabulous chain of mountains, on this day we will reach the highest point of our journey (4650 meters above sea level). Then the road will be mostly downhill until we reach Machupicchu. After noon we will stop for a delicious lunch and drinks, then we will continue to our camp for our second night.

DAY 3: CHAULLAY | COLLPAPAMPA – LA PLAYA – LUCMABAMBA

We will start our walk after having our nutritious breakfast, we will descend through the cloud forest, we will be able to observe how the Andean landscape is turning into a jungle one, the climate will also get warmer.

After a 7-8 hour walk we will arrive at Lucmabamba, where we will establish our third camp.

DAY 4: LUCMABAMBA – HIDROELECTRICA – AGUAS CALIENTES

 First we will have a 3-4 hour uphill trek to Llaqtapata where you can walk on the old Inca trail. Reaching the top we will be able to contemplate a great view, from this viewpoint you can see the Huaynapicchu mountain and part of Machu Picchu, then we walk towards the Hydroelectric to continue a walk to the Aguas Calientes town where we will spend the night in a hostel / hotel.

DAY 5: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO

We will have early breakfast to take the bus that will take us to the archaeological park of Machupicchu, we will have a guided tour  for 2:30 hours, then the guide will give us free time to take photos and explore by our selfs. At the agreed time we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch and then take our train back to Cusco.

– Transportation: You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning and you will travel by private transportation to Challacancha, the starting point of the trek.

Humantay Lake

DESCRIPTION:

Pick up from your hotel at 05:00 am. 

We will begin our adventure to the Humantay Lake with a 4-hour trip in a private transport to Soraypampa located at (3,850 m.a.s.l). Before we will stop in Mollepata, a typical town where we will have a delicious breakfast to start the day well. Once we reach Soraypampa we will start our trek to the Humantay lake (4,200 m.a.s.l.) with beautiful views and if the sky is clear enough, we will be able to see the impressive Salkantay and Humantay mountains. It is a 1.5 hour walk, but our effort will pay off when we are in front of the beautiful lagoon.

We will have enough time to take photos, we will make a small offering to the Apus (Tutelary Mountains), and for the truly brave they can swim, but the water is quite cold. After some free time, we will begin our descent to Soraypampa of approximately 1.5 hours, which is much easier than the ascent. Lunch awaits us in Soraypampa and after a break we will return to Cusco where we will arrive at 06:00 pm.

Rainbow Mountain

DESCRIPTION:

Pick up from your hotel in Cusco between 04:00 am to 4:30 am

2 hours of trip in private transport to Cusipata located at 4,320 masl.

Stop for breakfast and will be served in our cozy restaurant. After one hour more by car to the community of Wasi Pata.

We start our walk from this point located at 4,630 m to 5,100 meters above sea level to the RAINBOW MOUNTAIN led by our expert guide, here we can see the impressive colors that are natural mineral formations. We will walk through small traditional Andean villages to see the local people in their colorful dresses.

After a total walk of approximately 2-3 hours, we will finally arrive at this viewpoint to have an impressive view of the Rainbow Mountains located at 5,100 meters above sea level. Time to explore the area. Time to rest and enjoy our packed lunch. You will have time to take pictures and immerse yourself in the surroundings. (We will spend approximately 30-45 minutes at the top). Then we start our return by walking downhill. The walk will last 2.5 hours.

Our transportation will be waiting for us when we return. We will arrive in Cusco after a 3 hour drive by car, at approximately 06:00 P.M.
